Group Lessons

Group lessons are a great cost effective way for you to learn various dances in a fun atmosphere and become a part of the Dance Times Square family.  Below we will cover the benefits of group dance lessons, when we have group classes, and how they work.

Benefits of Group Dance Classes

1. Group dance lessons are much more economical than private dance lessons as you have access to the same world class dance instructors that do our private lessons, just at a much cheaper rate in a group setting.
2. There is no dance partner required.
3. You will be exposed to a variety of dance instructors.  All dance instructors have their own style and way of expressing themselves.  Having the benefit of this variety will help you develop your own dance style as you will more than likely be influenced by your instructors.
4. Group dance lessons offer a great way to learn the basic footwork and technique of a variety of dances.
5. You have the opportunity to try out different dances to see which styles you like the best.
6. You will learn both the lead and follow techniques of the dance.
7. In a group dance setting, you will be introduced to social dance etiquette.
8. You will have the opportunity to pair up with multiple dance partners which will help to improve your dance skills.
9. The social setting of group dances classes allows you to meet people of similar interests and make new friends.
10. The social atmosphere of a group dance class just plain make them lots of fun and something you are looking forward to every week!

Latin Lunch Group Dance Classes
Add a little spice to your lunch with some sultry Latin dancing. Latin Lunch classes are held every Thursday at 12:15pm. Learn a variety of dances from Salsa to Swing. Beginners are always welcome and no partner is necessary.

Evening Group Dance Classes
Evening group classes are generally offered Monday through Thursday, between 7pm and 10pm, with all classes beginning at the top of the hour.

Group Class Pricing & Corporate Discounts

Single group dance classes are $20, but if you buy a group class pass, we offer several different discounts. Also,  if you are a part of our corporate discount program the classes are $13.50. If you would like to learn more about joining our corporate discount program please contact the front desk staff.

Single Class: $20

Five Classes: $85

Ten Classes: $150

Monthly Unlimited Classes: $330

4 week Progressive Argentine Tango and NY Salsa Classes

We will be converting our regular Argentine Tango class on Wednesday Evenings at 8pm and our NY salsa class on Tuesday evenings at 8pm into two-four week courses. The classes will start at a beginner level and will progess to intermediate. These courses will start the first week of August. Pre-registration is mandatory for these classes so please call or email us if you would like to participate. Several of our students have asked for this so we are very excited to see you all progress!  The prices for the courses are below:

Argentine Tango course: $7 - This class will be held August 3rd, 10th, 17th, and 24th

NY Salsa course: $70 - This class will be held August 2nd, 9th, 16th, and 23rd

Both courses: $125

The rest of our group classes will remain "drop-in"classes
